Chelsea Blankinship is an award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Austin-based artist creating alternative folk and Americana music rooted in honesty, storytelling, and human connection. Originally releasing music under the name Chelsea King, she first emerged through a raw, 1990s grunge-inspired sound before evolving into a more stripped-back and reflective style centered on emotional truth and organic instrumentation.

Her work blends intimate lyricism with atmospheric textures, drawing influence from folk traditions, alternative rock, vintage country, and dreamlike Americana. Through songs that explore identity, grief, love, longing, and the complexity of modern life, Chelsea creates music that feels both deeply personal and quietly universal.

Alongside her solo work, Chelsea is also a member of Minneola, a psychedelic country-folk trio blending cinematic soundscapes with roots-driven storytelling — a reflection of her collaborative spirit and love for expansive, emotionally immersive music.

Beyond performing and recording, Chelsea spent over five years on 96.7 FM Nashville hosting weekly radio programs championing independent and emerging artists. She later joined synth-pop icon Andy Bell as his sole backup singer, performing more than 50 international shows across the United States and South America.
